Reunification Therapy - a Child’s Experience
This poem was submitted by an incredibly brave young woman, who is only 14-years old. She has been subjected to (and traumatized by) court ordered reunification therapy against her will.
Her words capture the reality for children around the world — who are being victimized by charlatans who have turned them into revenue streams. Reunification therapy is also known as reintegration therapy - the constant rebranding allows them to escape scrutiny and accountability. Reunification therapy is considered to be an experimental treatment that is not covered by insurance companies yet it is regularly ordered by family court judges around the world.
When these children age out of the system, there will be a reckoning. There will be accountability, lawsuits and public exposure. For now, and for safety reasons, this young lady needs to remain anonymous but her words have deeply touched me and speak to the crisis of the family court system.
