Transforming Pain into Power:
A Healing Retreat for Survivors
Life’s most painful challenges often manifest as narcissistic abuse and domestic violence. While society encourages victims to be brave and leave their abusive relationships, it often overlooks the reality that the next chapter can be even more painful than the previous one. Domestic abuse is fundamentally about power and control, and this need for dominance doesn’t simply vanish after separation. Instead, it frequently continues through post-separation abuse, with the family court system becoming the new battleground.
Our History
The inaugural Lemonade Power Retreat took place in 2014 in Templeton, California. This weekend gathering offered a reprieve and a healing space for survivors to come together, fostering a sense of community among those navigating similar journeys.
Over the years, the Lemonade Power Retreats have attracted survivors from across the globe. The retreats have been held at various retreat centers throughout the United States including Washington, Massachusetts, Arizona, and multiple locations in California.
A Unique Community Experience
The camaraderie experienced at the Lemonade Power Retreats is truly magical and unmatched. It serves as a sanctuary where lifelong bonds and connections are forged.
Many survivors face isolation due to the unique and often misunderstood nature of their experiences. This retreat provides an invaluable opportunity for survivors to unite, while offering each other validation, understanding, and deep compassion. Attendees leave feeling stronger, revived, and better equipped to navigate the complexities of post-separation abuse and the family court system. They emerge not only as individuals standing in their new-found power, but as part of a unique sisterhood.
As one attendee poignantly shared, “Each of us left with a long-awaited sense of peace and renewal. As with any trauma in life, unless someone has actually experienced it, the people around them just don’t get it. Each of us who attended had faced either emotional, physical, sexual, or financial abuse. We could all relate to something in each other’s journey.”

Note from Tina Swithin
My last scheduled Lemonade Power Retreat in South Carolina was canceled in 2020, due to the Covid pandemic. I am beyond thrilled to bring the retreats back to life in 2025 because the people I’ve met at these retreats have become a huge part of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart. If you are considering attending my 2025 retreat, I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story and cheering you on in your future chapters.
